The Southwest Florida Reading Festival kicked off today at 10am at the Fort Myers Regional Library Campus at 2450 First Street.
The Festival is a fun, informative and entertaining one-day event that celebrates books and the written word. The initiative began in 1999 with the aim of celebrating the importance of reading as well as bringing the finest literary talent to Southwest Florida.
The Festival has enjoyed great success and now attracts more than 20,000 book lovers each year.
The Southwest Florida Reading Festival is a free, public event and includes exciting author events, author signings, storytelling and demonstrations.
